Beautiful Grain in Cedar Bowl

I thought this bowl was going to be pretty boring when I started. Then I discovered this grain.

Cedar can be beautiful -as is this piece. Maintaining that red color is a little more of a challenge, but worth it.

What did you use for finish? Cedar can be difficult to get coverage that uniform.

The finish is just simple wipe on poly

The more I work with wood, the more I realize this type wood just doesn’t grow on every tree. Great find! You did that justice.

I have a piece of cedar that I can only hope it would be 1/2 as nice. Just stunning.
