To those wanting to improve their bandsaw vacuum function, I think what Bruce might have been showing is along the lines of what Rob Cosman shows in the video below.

Not sure of what others have done in the past but I am thinking of the Venturi idea for my saw. As Rob points out, reducing the size of the hose and speeding up the airflow seems to catch the fine dust very well. How to secure a plastic pipe right below the the table surface is a challenge on my saw. I will post a few photos as I experiment with this challenge and hopefully find an easy means of improving fine dust collection in my shop.
I'm on a dust collection thing after another generous member gave me a Dust Deputy to hook between my 6hp vacuum and the saw. So on I will go.
Note I plan to start a new thread on improving dust collection on bandsaw machines. Not sure yet where?
