it's 35" tall. I think the legs are 24" to the top of the curves. It's what the customer likes. that's all that matters to me. :)

$1000 seems reasonable to me. $995 if you want to apply advanced marketing techniques.

At least $3000 for all the work, the fine craftsmanship, and the years of knowledge & expertise that you put in to be able to make this.
Beautiful workmanship.

I am leaning towards 2-3,000 depending the detail on the ceramic.

One suggestion, I used to play chess daily I always thought the overhang on the back of the board should be longer given most players tend to put their elbows there to stare and concentrate, just a thought

Very nice workmanship !

I'll try to get pictures of the pieces. They are fresh poured and need cleaning and firing. The customer is painting them.

I charge 60 to 75 dollars per hour for shop time Depending on the difficulty of the project. All said and done I'll have 30 to 40 hours in this. Lots of hand work. Probably 300 in materials or there abouts. The blood wood was 50 bucks by its self. The legs I bartered for but still need to charge retail for. This is for a repeat customer so I won't get too greedy.

Just to be clear. These rates are for the build time. A daily rate applies for Finishing as I'm not running machines or using supplies. I am however dehumidifing heating or cooling as needed so these factor in. Daily rate is determined by many factors, the weather being one. Gotta pay the electric bills you know.
