You're not messing around starting out with the Aspire package! Aspire looks absolutely amazing.
I'm late to this discussion but wouldn't have a lot to contribute on commercial CNCs. I have built two hobby CNC machines in the last 12 months and learned a lot. The first machine had a small cut area (10" x 17") so I uprated the the cut area on the second build to about 54" x 54". Both use my Porter Cable 690 router. I get decent results but nothing I could sell. I have about $800 invested so far and probably need to spend another $300 - $500 in incremental upgrades to get it where I'd like it to be.
Hank saw my first incarnation at a Triad Woodworkers meeting over the summer.
Definitely looking forward to pictures of the gear and some of your projects!
Update: Since you are in the business already you might not be too worried about dust collection. If you are then you should pick up a "dust shoe" that can hook into your collection system. These CNC mill crank out dust like nobody's business.
