Neat! How's the string attached? I don't see a pic of it spinning... so how do we KNOW it works?!?!? ;) :lol:

the string slips into a hole in the top and when pulled comes loose. the thing spins real good. i drove an apolstry tack in the point so as not to bang up the wood when it spins.

OH and BTW i used 5the table saw to make the handle blank so that counts eh?:lol:

nope sorry. no plans but search tops on the net and pictures will explain a lot. i got this idea from a friend who was playing with one like it with his grandson. just two pieces of wood and a string.:-D

Danged top spins longer than any I've ever seen 8-O
I think the brass tip on bottom is the secret . . . and it will take 100 years to wear it out :cool:

Nice work...I've made some simple finger tops lately, that work real nicely, but would like to step it up to the real thing like you made :0) looks good....
