Dovetailed box from Birdseye Maple, Sapele...and a couple leather shoestrings.

I couldn't find stop hinges that would work in the orientation I needed, so...shoestrings to the rescue! Open to ideas for other solutions I could've used. Chains I think would interfered with the closing of the lid. Thanks.

Ford serving table

My interpretation of the Freeman Ford serving table, designed by Greene and Greene in 1908, made of sapele, with ebony plugs and splines. Curved aprons and rails with cloud lifts are a departure from the Greenes' design.

Finished Christmas gift - cherry and sapele box

Completed box for some of my daughters christmas more special tree ornaments. Box sides and panel on the top are Sapele, base and frame on lid are cherry. Colors turned out very similar though I only used clear satin Arm r seal for finish. Contrast in grain is more of what I was after. Also...
