It forced me to turn this 12/4 hunk of air dried Walnut into something with a bowl like shape - I was really happy with it until I realized that my macro level pics showed off all the torn end grain, and the wax I applied just enhanced that. But none the less it is the biggest bowl...- DaveO

So there I was...just hanging out..admiring the fine woodworking on this site. And DaveO casually invites me over to watch a pen turning..(That was last night) Today, I am looking at a new lathe in my garage (thanks to the folks at HF having a sidewalk sale) and a nice new pen from last night...- lottathought
