SYP at the BORG; moisture content of <10??

Can it be that all the dimensional SYP I bought recently at the BORG for my workbench project is between 4%-9.7% on MC or is my meter broken??? I was expecting a MC disaster with lumber from the BORG but if this is accurate, what a nice surprise!!

Interesting article with wood related content

I recently joined an Uilleann pipe forum, and while perusing old posts came across one with a link to an article by Peter J. Bukalski entitled: "Oboe Making In The United States: A. Läubin, Inc." There's some interesting wood discussion, along with what it's like to run what is essentially a...

I got off the phone with Sarah Garner, Michael's wife, a few minutes ago to learn it is official. Michael is down range. Perhaps not at his final destination yet, but certainly within a few days. Having spoken with him about his station a few weeks ago, this much I can verify. It is hot, both in...
