Spalted Oak Box.

I made this box from splated oak from a tree put down by Isibel in My neighbors yard. I have just retired to NC in 03 and and have been setting up my shop. In the last year I got a new lathe and have been doing segmented bowls. Before that I was into boxes with exotic woods. I enjoy small projects as my shop is small and I like to work on small things. Spalted wood is my favorate along with the exotic woods. I love to show off in my projects the lovely designs in the various wood granes. Let me know what kind of wood is your favorate.
