18th Century Curly Redwood Seachest

The design is a traditional seachest made with Curly reclaimed Redwood stump I resawed on my woodmizer LT40. The beckett cleats are also curly redwood and have a natural rope fiber spliced in a loop and attached for handles. The hinges are copper strap and the bottom skids are dogwood. The interior till box has a walnut crotch top and brass hinges. The key lock is brass. The angles dovetails are held in place with skirts that are nailed in with copper rosehead nails for additional support.
