Speaking of this... I have one of them and am ready to let it go on to the next person in line.

Who is curreny managing the 'next up' list?

You haven't seen anything until you get into segmented turning. Jam chucks, donut chucks, many faceplates, cutting/sanding/clamping jigs, disc sander, etc., etc., etc......but as you say, sooo much fun.

You have to set the hook before your scare him like that......

I'm going to be passing on the idea for the groups in FL and OH to develop a similar program. Not trying to export the lathe just the idea of a shared resource.

I was one of the early recipients of the goodwill lathe back in 2008, and it is still one of the best things that ever happened to me. I even made a ring box on that thing when I proposed to my wife (17 years, 5 kids later and still going strong). I am very thankful to this group for putting this idea together and keeping it going for so long.
