Well, I had a great Fahter's Day, the LOML and kids bought me a Baracuda II from PSI. Has to be the best Father's Day present in 29 years.:icon_cheers :icon_cheers:icon_cheers:icon_cheers I have been wanting one for awhile now.

I have not tried it out yet, since I was on call for work. I hope to try it tonight if time permits.

Do I have to do anything special to it before use?

I know it didn't happen without pictures, so here it is.

Wipe the shipping grease off it. Attach the jaws if not already attached, or not the ones you want to use first (check to make sure the screws are well seated). Sprinkle some lathe shavings on it, and screw it on the lathe. The lathe shavings are to help ease it into it's new job, like dipping your toes in the water before jumping in.
Do you have the appropriate threaded adapter for your lathe's spindle?

Dave, thanks for the advice. I am looking forward to using it. :gar-Bi I wont need to use an adapter since my Craftsman lathe is 1x8tpi.
