At the end of the second week of the donation drive, we have received $500.38 (net of Paypal fees) from 15 donors. We have 3186 members, and for the period January 1, 2009 thru June 30, 2009, have averaged approximately 300 active users per day. It is obvious that many people enjoy the benefits of being a part of this woodworking community.
Our treasurer, Travis Porter, today posted the financial report for this past fiscal year. During that year, we had, not counting $6,000 that came from Steve Coles, $4,840 of donations and ended the year with a reserve of $3,356. It is vital that we maintain a reserve in order to continue being financially healthy. Considering the amount of donations received last year, we feel that an annual goal of $6,000 ($1,500/qtr.) is not unreasonable.
With 2 weeks remaining in the drive, we are 1/3 of the way to our quarterly goal . Your support in insuring that North Carolina Woodworker will continue to exist will be appreciated.
