Likely possible Ashley -
BUUUUUT don't expect this glued joint to be anywhere near as strong as an 'uncut' rope.
So this really depends on what you are planning to do with the rope. To elaborate - gluing two pieces of rope end to end will NOT likely 'work' as a rope that you can use to tie up a boat or tie down a tarp.

Ropes are better laced/stitched together rather than glued/melted.

What is the purpose of for this combined rope? That will help guide you in determining what is appropriate for the joint.

@lovereich Could you provide some more detail on what you're trying to accomplish? You can glue pretty much anything to anything, but that doesn't mean it's a good solution for your actual needs.

Basically, Nylon does not glue no matter what magical stuff they advertise. Splice is far better. Best is of course a new length of rope unless you are trying to do a continuous loop, then splice is the only option.
