The Moderators routinely close Threads that have had no active posting for at least 30 days. Why, because additional replies to those threads probably won't have any relevance to the original poster of the Threads after that amount of time. The Thread is still available to be viewed, and if some relevant information needs to be added to it, a Staff member can re-open it. When a Thread is closed the original poster will receive automatic PM from the Moderator who closed it. If a Thread you posted is closed it does not mean that the post was in violation of any of the site's policies or anything in a negative way. Thread closings are just routine house cleaning, and way of keeping the topics of discussion current.
