A couple of weeks ago I asked for input on a CL listing in Lincolnton for a Uni.
I negotiated with the seller and drove up on Nov. 17. (Looooong drive round trip!) to check it out. He had only used it about 10 hours with a power feeded, never installed the fence or mobile base with extension.
I handed him a thousand and he loaded it up. I won't bore y'all with the issues unloading it and getting it on the base cause I don't want to remember.
He had misplaced the table and legs so I made those in the shop, added a Woodpecker router table and lift that was on the Ridgid 3650 (the 3650 went to forum member Ken Weaver :icon_thum).

As soon as I first used it I knew it wouldn't be powered on again till I had a kick bar on the switch! :saw: :eusa_naug

I added an insert on top of the Beisemeyer fence for the RT, Board Buddies and other jigs.

I'm started on the outfeed table and will paint the kick bar and call it finished for awhile. If I don't get something made with this saw SWMBO is gonna have my head!:gar-Cr

Thanks for having a look and for the input when I asked.

I really like the idea of putting a T track in the slot of the fence. I might have to borrow that one.

And wow the DC on that router looks like a sci-fi thriller :).

It looks like there is a good ~2' of table in front of the router. Seems like quite a stretch... I am still pondering what a good compromise distance is.

Anyway that saw should serve you well :).

Best wishes,
Salem

Super deal !!
Thanks for the idea on the T-track, I too will share that.
Amazing how we look at and use something like the Biesmeyer fence every day and never think to modify it in any way, maybe because its a Biesmeyer. :BangHead::BangHead:

Ken I just went back to drool over your pictures 2 questions what type of hose is that and why is there an octapuss attacking your router table at the end of the saw:rotflm:
Thanks Mark

Wow, Ken, what a deal! And a great job in fitting it out with the goodies.

What's the green rail below the Biesemeyer rail? Did you actually drill holes in your Biesemeyer fence? <wince!> ... but the added utility with the t-slot track looks like it's worth it. I'll be looking for my drill and a good sharp bit the next time I get a few hours of quality shop time.

Is that an Incra mitre gauge we see in the pics? Which one?

Can you give us some commentary on your dust collection octopus? What's it all do?

There are two kind of woodworkers in this world. those that have unisaws, and those that wish the had one. Many of us can not foot the bill and we rationalize. I have a Jet cabinet saw that yellowfins made me a tremendous deal on and I love it, I love it. but, if I had the money, I would have a unisaw.

Many of us are jealous of you, please keep us up to speed on what you make on this fine saw and remember safety must be first.

Hi Salem, thanks. No, it's 15" from the end of the table to the bit, I find that just right for my arms. When the router table was on the Ridgid it was the end of the saw table and for me it was too close.

Greg, I mounted a 1.5 by 1.5 to the bottom of the rail tube and hinged off of that.

The green rail is the Wixey digital readout for the tablesaw fence, I had it on the Ridgid and like it so it migrated to the Uni.

Hey Donna. Yep, I did indeed. It hurt me, didn't hear a peep outa the fence. I used self tapping screws.
BTW folks, the insert wasn't original, I saw it somewhere, don't remember where tho or I'd give credit. One important thing, 3/4" thick stock isn't ideal!
After routing the groove for the track theres only about 3/16" of meat to screw the track to the insert. I didn't see this in advance and had to epoxy the track in.

That's the Miter 1000SE.
The Octopus :rolf: is hoses for the router fence and sheet metal bucket that surrounds the router, another that runs to the DC pipe coming up thru the floor. There are 2 blast gates for the RT fence and the bucket, so That added about half of the Octopus.
