SCMS dust collection

Attached is a description of the dust collection system that I built for my Bosch sliding compound miter saw. It collects about 95% of the dust this thing creates and is cheap and easy to build. Comments?

Wow, I wish I had the extra 18" that requires but my shop is too small!! Great solution to a tough problem!!

It looks just like you described when you stopped by. I will try to document my solution as well. In view of my limited space I am going for a knock-down type of hood that is inexpensive. I may "borrow" the plasitc shroud idea.

The shroud might look better if it were molded in latex, but it does the trick. You are welcome to use any part of the design.

JTodd, I'm not computer savvy enough to help. But, maybe someone who is savvy can help. Sorry.
