Version 1.0 was one solid wood. Very fragile but I worked.

Version 1.1 Laminated wood. Again very fragile but I liked it much better.

Version 1.3 Laminated with metal and wood. Not so fragile, MUCH better.

Again, excuse the hand model.

It just bugged me that the rings were so fragile, I can't afford precious metal so brass had to do. I tried to seal it real well with CA so hopefully the brass won't tarnish right away. Now that I know what I am doing I will sand the wood better before I laminate and I guess I could try some silver.

Oh, what happened to Ring 1.2 you say. We don't want to talk about that one. :BangHead:

Wayne,
As I recall, one of the early rings was fro a friend. Is this one for you, or someone else. It came out real neat, I like the brass inlays.

Very cool Wayne! So... how do you grip it when you're turning it down to the final size. Great job!!! :eusa_clap

The groom has already broken his wedding ring I made him.

This one is for no one in particular. I just wanted to see if I could overcome the fact they were so fragile.

It seems that you may have done it with this combination.

Nice rings, I've seen these on the internet and have wanted to make some myself, I think they look really nice.
