does anyone know where to find quarter sawn hard or curly maple, and honduran mahogany? these are to be used in building a guitar... i'm in the raleigh area but will drive or mail order for the right pieces... thanks
hard curly maple is not common here..do have some QUILTED QS REDWOOD(great for tops), QS western red cedar billet with 25-30 rings per inch 8x8x46", plenty of honduran mahogany, sipo and sapele, all qs.
I am working on getting some more big leaf fiddleback maple.
Johnny,
Are you related to Jerry Fontaine???
One of my favorite bands is the Amazing Rhythm Aces. On Chock Full of Country Goodies is song titled "Jerry Fontaine and His Jammin' Guitar" :eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap
