Shipping would NOT be cheap from Salt Lake City. I would bet getting it crated and shipped would run $500. Nice big lathe, but a LONG ways from here.

I'm only about an hour away and oh so tempted to buy it. But I am sure it is huge and weighs a ton, and would either have to sell more tools, or buy a bigger truck~! :eusa_doh:

Or Maybe just never move after I get it? :rotflm:

Go with BUY A BIGGER TRUCK!

This curious phenomenon is know as the "Man Cycle" and affects nearly every male in the human race.
1. Buy Bigger Toy
2. Buy Bigger Toy Hauler
3. I have alot more space, Buy another Big Toy
4. Need more space, Buy a Bigger Toy Hauler
5. Repeat steps 1-4 until you die or run out of money!

that is an exelent deal. if you can I suggest get it! my 3520 weighs in around 700 pounds. this model I think is closer to 1100. but.... 2 strong men can handle the headstock, and those 2 strong men can handle the bed. the tailstock, bed extention and legs can be handled by the 1 man who is still standing upright.:gar-Bi any small truck will haul it for an hours ride. check out the [new] price and I think you will see my point.:icon_thum

I PM'd the guy over on SMC and it's 950 lbs without the 20 inch bed extension that comes with it.I checked and it's only 2069 miles to his house one way which would amount to about 62 hours on the road RT.It is a heck of a deal though.

2069 MILES ONE WAY!!!!

I drove 980 miles one way for my tablesaw and my wife still says I am nuts for doing it and that was 3 years ago.

I so wish I could get it Zach, But now I don't have a job right now. I am totally finished with the military and starting summer school May 17th.

Plus I have been told by Charlie that the head stock doesn't slide. That's a real bummer as working on big bowls like that would sure be easier to work on at the end of the bed, standing straight on to the inside of the bowl.

But hey, if anyone wants to make a donation to help me get it, I sure won't turn you down~! :rotflm: :rotflm: :rotflm:
