I think consideration should be given to having a link to the signup sheet for food/drink/picnic items in the "upcoming events" box at the top of the page. As of now, it is in the picnic thread posted bt Scott that is in the events box. It needs to be prominently displayed to make it easy to see, click on, and reply to. That list needs to be summarized every few days pointing out which items we have enough of and which that are short. A scrolling banner has been mentioned by Doug and I think, in addition to that, a large colored font, blinking "Pinic Details" header, or whatever you want to call it, in the upcoming events box is needed. That box now includes the picnic, directions, and ballot posts. Throw in a link to the signup sheet, light it up, and let's see if we can hype this picnic and raffle. Raffle sales are sluggish and a link in the box about that might also be appropriate. Put everything in a convenient place, make it visible, make it easy to reply to, and let's see what happens. Time is getting short.
