Hi there from halfway between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro!
I'm quite new to woodworking (at it for less than a year, weather- and wife-permitting.). Wife complains that I haven't built anything, except things for the 'shop'. Gotta start somewhere I tell her.
This might not be the right place, so I might repost the following in another sub-forum, but here it goes: I do not have a table saw, planer or jointer. I am looking for someone nearby who'd be willing to mill stock (for a fee of course). I'm tired of seeing only the red oak, 'whitewood' and poplar at the big-box stores. The wood in places like The Hardwood Store in Gibsonville makes me drool.
Glad to be here!
Cheers - MM
