New Guy Says Hi!

Hello all! Just joined up through the recomendation of a fellow member. Ken Ward (boxxmaker). I've been turning for 10 months now and I'm about as hooked as hooked can get (did all flat work previously)! Hope to share and learn some good ideas. Thanks for having me, Don L.

Gator - That's great. I'm real glad to hear there are some turning folks near by. Maybe someday I'll meet a few of you guys. I've never had the chance to talk with another turner in person. Oh, there was one in DC I met.

Any of you guys belong to a turning club near Granville county? I was thinking about joining one in Raleigh this month.

I meant that there were 6-7 members of NCWW here in the county, not all turners. I do have a lathe and turn pens and bottle stoppers etc, but a "TURNER" I am not. I will try a bowl someday. Don't know of any turning clubs except for the one in Raleigh.

We have a calendar contest every year where you can enter some of your work and get it published in the 2011 calendar.

You really need to submit some of your work, when the time rolls around this year.
