My first Dibble(2 more added)

Trying to get some Christmas gifts done and wanted to make this for my MIL - she loves to garden - you guys that have made these what -if anything- do you see I have done right/wrong - seems to me that it is not tapered enough :icon_scra Let me know so that I can get it right

Looks ok to me for potting soil. The only thing I might question is if the top is big enough to fit in a hand. Good job and good idea!

Thanks Nelson - the handle is a good three" long and the diameter is a little over 2"

Please excuse my lack of knowledge and laziness (I could always google it) but I'm guessing you use these to set a hole depth for planting?

Those are looking good Phillip, I'm sure the recipients will love them!

Thanks Phillip - that is correct - either outside after you get the soil ready or in the flower pot =

The first one has the better top. A sharp edged top will be unpleasant to use.


I fixed the other two with a longer handle so that they could grip it and made sure the edges where rounded
