Moderators and forum manager permissions.

From some of the things that have been said today, I think it best if we allow forum manager permissions for moderators for their forums. AWhat do you think? Not sure yet, if I can do that but I'll look.

seems like a good idea --- reduces admin workload somewhat, but then how often will we actually need that?

I agree with Pete, normally the Forum Manager duties are mostly ones that should be done by those who already have permission (adding and moving Mods). The situation that arose today is unique and likely not to happen again for a long time.

I agree -- most things like this are rare and I'd be concerned with giving too many people controls that are needed -- it only took me 15 minutes to change all of the forums so attachments will be moderated -- but it would not be too hard to really screw up the site with the tools. I say no, but then I've got the Admin privs now.

I agree, too, that the need for more access is rare, so if the Admins and programmer's don't mind those occasional changes, I'd leave it alone.
