Anybody have a source for kiln dried Maple? Most likely down here it will be soft maple which will work fine for me, hard maple will also work. Need to make draw fronts. It will finish out to about 13/16 so skip planed will b ok. Small amount maybe 3 or 4 5/4 x 9 ish x 9'
I did check out Jack's mill last week however he only had wormy Maple and that wont match the stuff already in my entertainment center.
Thanks
Jack

The Hardwood Store of North Carolina in Gibsonville, is one place. You might try the Wurth Group on Poole Rd in Raleigh, Klingspore and Woodcraft may have some. Also Capital City Lumber for a small quantity, I haven't checked their prices lately but they used to be kinda high.

Just a few thoughts off the top of my head,

Don't forget The Woodworking Source in Mooresville. Well worth the trip. Their ad is on the side.

I don't have a "good" source for kiln dried maple. But you may attract more interest if you add what you are looking for in the title.

I do however have quite a bit of maple shorts that I picked up for almost nothing a while ago. I think it is mostly soft maple but I have been very happy with the look of it. Very little that is a full 9" wide though. If you are ever in my area again you are welcome to pick through it :).

I have a slab of AD maple you can have. It's about 10" wide, about 3" thick and maybe 24" long. It will have to be resawn but I think you can get your drawer fronts out of it. I have a bandsaw, planer and jointer so if you want it you can dress it here. I was going to hack out a bowl from it, but I've had it 10 years.

I'm 16 miles from Zeb. If you're interested I can get exact measurements.
