I have a nice Jet 15 " thickness planer. It weights 200+ lbs est. Model JWP-15. The planer has a a motor that is no good. The first 100.00 dollars get it.

That planer bed doesn't look quite parallel to the cutter housing does it?... Almost like it got dropped hard.

Bed looks parallel. There is something lying diagonally across the bed near front support posts. This machine MAY have a universal motor (brushes.) Some from that era did.
