Some of you may remember my threads on AC when I was going through the purchase process. I agonized over getting a decent enough unit but not spending much money. I ended up getting a single hose portable that was rated as just barely enough. This year my wife has been parking out in the driveway most of the time and I have gotten pretty good about keeping the doors down and turning on the AC a little while before I head out there. It didn't occur to me how well it has been working until the other night, when my wife asked me about using the fan out on the deck and I realized I never brought it down from the attic this year. :banana:

I am not the only one enjoying it. The kids had me set up a short range in the garage:

Does that one you got run on 110 or 220 outlet?

110V. You can find plenty like it, most of them the next step up with dual hoses, at the big discount places. If you get a single hose, then the hot air it blows out through the hose gets replaced by air sucked in from around the doors, so it is less efficient. The difference isn't as great as I feared though and I only put one hole through the wall so it just looks like a dryer from outside. We have covenents and I could not get a window unit. It won't get a whole lot worse than the last few days and ut has been fine.
