If anyone can find a hidden knot when chiseling hinge mortises, that would be me. Thanks to D L for finding his copy of this plan from Shop Notes before I could find my own. I ordered an extra depth gage from RotoZip and glued a 4x4 piece of p-glass to it as a cheap substitute for a new trim router. The plan has a mistake in the base size (needs to be larger to cover most hinge sizes), so I'll make another: it's easy. It quickly sets up for both edge and panel.
Here's a pic.

Joe, I am glad that jig is working out for you. What base plate size do you recommend using vice what the plans call for?

Instead of 7½" they show, I'm going to make it 9"

Thanks Joe. Will you have to make any modifications to the jig in order to use a base that large?

I made another one this AM. Use 11x11 as your initial blank and it will come out fine. ShopNotes made a mistake in the drawing. The large bottom piece is still 7½" x 11" and the sliding top fence can be trimmed to size later. Works great now.
