Hi everyone,
I am a new member originally from Iowa and moved to Wilson, NC in 1988. I logged onto this particular website in April of '09 and have scrolled through all the pics and posts to see what everyone has accomplished and have just recently gotten the hang of things. I love to work in my shop, a house of a garage, with a shopsmith, several routers, handtools, sanders, belt sanders, lathe, jointer, drill press, tablesaw, and the basic tools for an everyday handyman sort. I especially love to collect wood planes from the 1800s.
I grew up watching my father work in his shop when I was a little boy and have learned many things along the way. Now I have my own sons whom I try to teach the same things I learned when I was growing up.
Watching the site I have learned there are a lot of talented individuals out there and I believe I can learn a lot just from watching and navigating the threads. My favorite tool is my lathe.
I look forward to the education and comradery,
Deano
