It's that time of year again when I plan on making use of the free shipping on beekeeping supplies for Cyber Monday (11/26/2012). Brushy Mountain Bee Farm is having free shipping on orders over $100 when you use the code PCCM. Last year's group buy post.

I plan on placing an order Monday morning and if anyone wants beeswax, post below and let me know how many pounds you want at $6 per pound. No minimum this year since the blocks will be a little over 2 lbs again this year and I figured out a decent way of splitting them. Despite Brushy Mtn raising the wax price for this year, it is still about half the price of the other options.

I also plan on selling 1 oz beeswax sticks to woodworkers who don't want to deal with large blocks. NCWW price for 1 oz block will be $1 for 1, $0.75 ea. for 2+. I have a few on hand if anyone wants some now.

My primary usage is selling beeswax candles, but I also use it to burnish things I make on the lathe. I've also experimented with various oil/wax mixtures to use as wood finishes.

I'll be melting some into mineral oil for finishing end-grain cutting boards. It's also handy for lubricating wooden drawer slides.

I have home made cauls and apply a beeswax/naptha mix before I do a glue up so they don't stick to glue squeeze through
