There is a NC Turning Organization that host a symposium every year. Rob and I attended in 2009 and sold a few raffle tickets. Not a big money maker even though we did manage to sell a couple raffle tickets to a lady and gentleman from CA. More important then that we gained a few new members. Here is a link to the 2011 event. The booth for NCWW is free. All you need is folks to man it. I urge the new BoD to consider again having an info booth.
Another reason/factor for attending is some of our raffle sponsors will be there and face time is important. The list includes at least:
Craft Supplies
EZ Wood Tools
Packard

p.s. I am raising this up now because at my age I might forget at our BoD meeting
