Follow up on removed account

I see the account removal e-mails, usually because someone from out-of-state registers and doesn't provide a good reason to be included in the membership.

Here's' one from today:

I am not sure why my account was removed as I live in Cary, NC

When Mr. Bushey registered, he listed Ladiesburg MD as his city and state and gave the zipcode as 21759, which is Ladiesburg. He did not include any information in the Non-resident Join Request to indicate a NC connection. I suspect he may be phishing for a registration. Any way to determine the origin of his IP address? It is 98.26.78.193

You can look up the IP address a number of ways.
Via the web -> http://www.zoneedit.com/lookup.html (use the reverse lookup part of the form on the right)
Via the nslookup program. Open a DOS command window, and type "nslookup 98.26.78.193"

Either way, 98.26.78.193 resolves to cpe-098-026-078-193.nc.res.rr.com, which certainly looks like he's in NC.

Regardless of outcome, a quick e-mail explaining why his registration was deleted ("you provided a Maryland address") would do the trick. I'd be happy to do this as well. The point is that without someone owning a task, we typically end up with (a) nobody doing it or (b) multiple people replying to the same note.
