fish tank stand

My wife and I bought a 16 gallon fish tank the other day and she would like me to build a stand for it. It is 20" L x 13" W and 20.5" H. I'd like to find some plans for a simple stand with a drawer and two doors beneath. Any suggestions? :eusa_thin

I have not seen much in the way of plans other then seeing other peoples homemade stands. Here is mine for a 55 gallon tank. Your 16 gal tank will be 128 lbs of water plus the weight of the tank and rock and decorations. No to heavy. Most people over build, remember it is compression load you have. Go to a pet store and look at their stands you will be surprised at how weak they look. Click the pic to see more on my stand.
