Disable Automatic Abbreviation Complete, Smiley Insert Function?

Tried to use TS-55 (Festool's model number for their circular saw which plunges 55mm, T-S-55 not a Table Saw) and the auto-complete function inserts Table Saw. Can this and the auto smiley insert function be disabled?

I'd like to second that NCWW (there it goes again N.C.W.W.) turn off the auto initials to text thing ... makes a mess sometimes because it's too simple.

I find that to be a problem 50% of the time, the other 50% it's a benefit. Turning it off is easy, if y'all want it that way it will be.

Well, you know my vote. It translates the obvious (N.C.W.W.), but doesn't do the not-so-obvious (IMHO, for example). Can't hurt withOUT it.

If I recall correctly, there is actually a purpose to expanding acronyms. It ensures we are properly indexed by search engines, and it also helps with matching up advertisements. Some items are probably very confusing (such as the smiley thing), those we can fix without side effects. I definitely want to keep NC WW as an expanding acronym.

It would be nice to be able to choose to disable it or put in quotation marks or carats to exclude it from the substitution. Only an issue for this one post using T>S>55 so not a major deal for me. The smilies pop up when I use certain key combinations and are agravating. If I knew those combinations I could work around it. Again, not a major deal but I could live without both of them.
