crochet hooks

I turned these for my wife. I don't know what the lighter color wood is but the darker is cocobolo. I can turn her larger crochet hooks in one piece. Her thread hooks are less than 1/8" so I cut them off and glue them into the turnings.

I'm still trying to get the hang of turning but I enjoy it a lot.

Those are very sharp! What kind of finish did you use? Did you use a regular chuck?

Those are really nice. I might have to try something like that for my wife she likes to crochet, between her knitting, sewing, beading, painting and watching Soap Operas :roll: :lol: :lol:

These hooks got spray on poly which doesn't looked too bad. Of course you can't tell it in the picture. I use a spur center since I only have that and a faceplate.
