Christmas Project Idea Swap

I see Christmas projects are starting to pop up.

I'm starting this thread to see if people have ideas for Christmas gifts - not trying to limit people but let's say gifts that could be made in multiples and don't require large material outlays and don't require highly specialized equipment.

My contribution:

Bent-wood salad servers. These are walnut treated with mineral oil (sorry for the poor pix - bowl is ~10" dia for scale)

All you need is a bandsaw, clamps, packing tape, glue, some scrap 2x4s and finishing supplies. And of course your stock - walnut in my pix. Zebrawood looks sharp too !

Thanks for sharing this Mark - Most of my Christmas projects will be done on the Scroll saw - I don't know what I am going to do right now but I will post it when I start it - Thanks again

Just thought I would offer an idea for a very simple Christmas angel made from scrap cherry block. A roughing gouge, a spindle gouge or skew if you know how to use one ( I do not) and a parting chisel is all you need.

Here's a bandsaw/scrollsaw pattern for a deer candle holder, but I found it too unstable for a lit candle. So I make them just as decorative pieces. Just change the size and print.

Here's another, but I've found it has more fascination for kid's parents than the kids themselves! I have a drawing here somewhere if anyone is interested.
