I was in Woodcraft the other day flipping through a back issue of Woodcraft magazine (Sept. 05') and ran across this picture in their show case of fine woodworking projects
DSCF0015.JPG

Congratulations DavidF, that is a beautiful table and very worthy of being showcased in the magazine. Although the editors need to learn a little more about NC, they listed him as living in Apex:slap:.
Is seems that there hasn't been too many issues of that magazine that haven't had one of NCww'er's members showcased in some form or another...just goes to show what great talent we have here at home.

It is a work of art and David certainly deserves the praise. However, methinks he is currently 12,000 miles away in New Zealand. :eusa_shhh

Resounding envy of his craft and location,

I recall seeing your table in your gallery and spent a lot of time drooling over the workmanship and originality of the design!

Congrats on the recognition David.:icon_thum That table truly is a work of art. To bad the didn't include the custom matching beer mats you made following the same design. I hope your vacation down-under is going well for you.

Superb job of inlay and reverse tapered legs -- maybe that's what inspired him to travel down under! Great piece!

Thats a piece that I would find irresistable not to touch if I was present in the same room with it. The design is really unique, I like it.

Nice work on all fronts David.

Great job and I am proud to say "Hey I know that guy" while I am looking through the magazine in the racks. Some how I feel like a better woodworker by association:roll:
