Angle Iron

Not exactly woodworking but will end up a ww project. Im looking for a source of angle iron in the Winston Salem area... Anybody know where I can fin some??

There is a metal salvage yard a little north of Walnut Cove on NC 89. Walnut Cove Salvage. They have new and used metals. Bennett fellow runs it. Good people.

He will cut for a small charge and sell you just what you need.

Depending on what kind and how long, Lowes or Home Depot carry short lengths. If you need a lot it will be pricey, but if you only need a little, it's cheaper then buying a whole stick at a steel supply. Most steel supply places want you to buy the complete length, which is usually 20'.

Dillon Supply will probably have the best inventory. Expect to pay around .90 per pound, or thereabouts, when purchasing in 20' lengths.
