Must be replacing a lot of sharpening stones.

If you have any old stones to dispose of please let me know. I have been looking for a great deal on a large Arkansas stone, but I will consider any Norton, Japanese or old natural stones.

Mike, I have a large norton hard Arkansas stone that I am not using. It is 8x3x1/2. I replaced it with a spyderco super fine. But honestly there is no comparison. Takes 2-3x the effort with the norton then the sypderco. And neither will ever go out of flat.

No need for detective work. It was my post and it got deleted because I forgot to remove the amazon referal code from the link. I'll let you guys know if it sells. Aside from a nice profit, I'm really curious to see if anyone in the triangle actually missed the sale.

I missed the sale on the Worksharp's :BangHead:. Anyone selling an extra one at a fair profit (subjective I know)?
I have a question though, can you get good results sharpening lathe tools on this machine?

Yes, turning tools can be sharpened on the Worksharp.

But, it is free hand under the slotted wheel. This takes practice so I suggest using a cheap HF tool to get the right touch down, and use a black marker on the bevel to get your angle correct and to maintain it as you rotate the tool.

I only use 120 and 400. I still go back to the Wolverine and grinder every few sharpenings to correct any errors I may have introduced if I got sloppy on the WS.

I just sharpened all of my tools with the 120 and 400 using the tool rest above the disc. I practiced each grind with the disc stopped to make sure the angle was correct and the motion is smooth. I'll try using the slotted disc on the smaller pen turning tools.
