If your eyes aren't sore yet, they probably will be after you look at my site. Just "roughed in plumbing" to see that the functionality is there; content will be slow in coming.

But before I go into that, I want to take a moment to thank Steve for offering hosting to members.

All hail Papa Smurf!

What he really deserves is probably more like this:

But then who would keep my site up in case someone actually visits it? :gar-Bi

Anyway, my site is here:

http://www.carvedtones.com/

and I have nothing but the "Under construction" going on right now. I am a software developer and I can make a computer do just about anything except look good. I specialize in complex logic that makes your head hurt. My attempts at UI have a similar effect.

I am thinking that I will have a main page that is general with links to pages for about me, instruments, options, period accuracy, other (not historical carved instruments) works and a links page. If someone wants to point me at a good "fill in the blanks and get started" template or offer advice, please let me know, either by replying here, PM or contacting me through the site (at least the only option it offers right now does work :eusa_danc). I understand all the technical details of co-locating files, relative pathing, etc. So while ease of use is always nice, it isn't as important to me as something that will help me get something that looks decent together quickly.

Andy,

It's looking great so far! :eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap I wish I could offer some assistance in website design. Can't wait to see it after it's all up and running! :icon_thum

One boo-boo: You've got an "s" at the end of "ncwoodworker" in the link for ncwoodworker.net

Easy thing to do...I did it for a while before I bookmarked this address...would type in ncwoodworkers.net...and find nothing...so get that extra "s" outta there. :wink_smil

Hopefully Steve will see this; I did not create that link. It was in my default page. I can correct it, but I suspect there is a template somewhere that Steve needs to fix also.:eusa_thin

Thanks!
