I'm making several end grain cutting boards for Christmas gifts. One of the boards has some small checks and insect holes in it. I filled them w/5-minute epoxy, but now I'm wondering if it will be "food safe". Anyone have any advice?
Some times I'll go ahead and use a piece of wood that may have a small check (crack) in the wood. Checking usually occurs around figure, like crotch feathers, burl, knots and on the endrgain.
