Speckling of Lacquer

What's wrong, I got a new gallon of black lacquer, fired up the turbine, and it is spraying and drying like it is speckled, small dots and doesn't look like a smooth finish like when I have sprayed white or clear? I have cleaned everything so I know debris isn't causing the issue. Suggestions?

Laquer finish removal

I have an electric guitar body that I believe is catylized laquer. Any one know what solvent will remove this stuff. So far it has been resistant to Zip strip, alcohols, and mineral spirits. Any ideas out there on how to remove this finish so the body can be refinished?

White Laquer Kitchen Cabinets Need Help!

My 10 y/o kitchen cabinet doors have a sprayed on white laquer finish which has cracked/crazed and in some places has started flaking off. This started about 7 years ago and we had them refinished by the cabinet shop who fabricated them. The problem returned and that shop has closed up. My...
