I'm wondering if any one makes a router table insert to the
following approximate dimensions...14-9/16" x 11-7/16" x 1/4 thick.
Is that an odd size or a standard size? :icon_scra
I need one that will accept a Bosch 1617EVS router.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks for any...
I was thinking about table saw zero clearance inserts (ZCI) and how they affect dust collection. ZCIs serve two purposes- limit tearout on the bottom side of the material (especially ply) and also to prevent thin cutoffs from slipping down and getting stuck between the blade and the insert...
The Poly used to make the insert is 1/2'' - slightly to thick for the PM64A. Note the rabbit routed in the edge of the insert, and the half-round clearance cut outs for the set screws. Next time I will buy 3/8'' material.
Hi,
Can someone please give me instructions on how to make a zero clearance insert (ZCI) for my table saw? Is MDF the best material to use? My current (non-ZCI) insert is 3/8" thick. Do you use 1/2" MDF and route the sections over the TS tabs so that the insert sits low enough, or do some...
I am working on putting a router station in the extension of my TS3650 tablesaw.
I have been trying to decide what insert to put into the table.
Seems simple enough......but something makes me think I need to think about it a little more before pulling the trigger.
3 inserts keep popping up at...
I just put the zero tolerance insert in my table saw and it won't sit flat. I can get the front flush with the top of the table but, the back left is low and if I bring it up flush then the front sits high and doesn't even touch. This is the Craftsman 10' that had the rusty top.
My question...
I put a dado in the edge and epoxied in two magnets. It doesn't vibrate at all. Pretty proud of myself because I came up with that one all by myself :)
I also glued the block under the far side of the insert so that it wont' fly out...probably overkill.
I got this 24x40 piece of corian from the Habitat re-use center for $7. It made several really nice zero clearance inserts. Notice the holes for set screws. Who would have thought that you could tap corain and it would hold!
When I made my nightstand I put a solid bottom underneath the cabinet before attaching the legs. In this larger piece I have attached a frame on all four sides but it isn't solid. Please explain why this may need to be solid. I will take the picture of the underside and put it in the galley...
Howdy all, question.
I picked up a used Shopsmith Bandsaw with the older cast iron table.
It didn't have that round table insert. Being the older table, Shopsmith does not carry the insert any more.
I've strained my brain thinking about how to make a replacement, thought I'd throw my...
I have a little old Craftsman table saw that has a blade insert made of 1/10" steel with a blade slot of about 5/8". It allows narrow stock to become lodged between or fall between the blade and the insert.
Does anyone have an idea of what I could use to construct a zero clearance insert for...
