    Assembly question.

I have a 31" x 22" red cedar glue up. The 22" sides are the end grains. I want to attach 4" vertical sides along the 22" sides with rabbet joinery. I was planning on gluing the entire 22" joint. Is that too long when considering expansion? Any ideas opinions, or alternate assembly ideas...

    Footboard glue-up

some of the old time members may recall i made a crib for my son when he was born. he's now 5. Well the plan was a 3-in one and I have procrastinated and put off building the foot board for entirely too long. The patient LOML has made it perfectly clear this needs to get done, so I've been...

    Workbench glue-up questions

I'm building my first woodworking bench. The only thing I really know about woodworking benches is that you need to build one in order to figure out what you really want in a woodworking bench. This will be the most elementary of workbenches - 5' x 2', vise, bench bolts, 3" slab top. I'm using...

    Glueup Worry?

I am gluing up some 4/4 cherry for a small table - 18" square. The boards I selected are 6", 8", 6" wide for the rough top blank. Do you you guys think that I may end up with problems with cupping with the 8" width board over time? I am edge gluing with 3/8" dowels for alignment. Cupping is what...
