    filling knots and cracks with sawdust and epoxy vs. sawdust and wood glue?

    I have to fill some knots and cracks within knots on my walnut bed but I would like some advise on the best way to do it. Can I go for sawdust with wood glue or am I better off using epoxy? Thanks,

    Hi Guys, Yup I'm a noobie.:confused_ I have heard a lot about grain filling by applying blo and sanding, and I was wondering if anyone has tried this with danish oil. I'm making a jewelery box out of walnut and ambrosia maple and I don't have any blo. what do y'all think:help:

    Filling planer tearout

    i'm building a vanity and the top is ash finished naturally. the tearout needs to be filled , but, since i'm finishing the top naturally, i'm thinking I could use a clear epoxy to fill the tearout spots and then proceed with the poly or lacquer finish. thoughts? Phil capper
