Dresser carcass wood design, plywood or secondary hardwood (wood movement issue)

I am still in the final planning stages with my next project, a wide walnut dresser. I was originally planning to use plywood for the top and bottom carcass since it is quick and is...

    dovetail a carcass

I may need to dovetail the 4 corners of a 13" wide carcass, I was looking at the Keller jig for simplicity as I don't fancy cutting all those by hand. I have seen a few reviews here and it looks ok. Other jigs are probably out of the price range. $128 Amazon for the 135-1500. Any thoughts?
