Sawstop erroneous brake incident report

As some of you may recall, I had the brake on my Sawstop PCS fire back in January, shortly after I bought it. I assumed that it was a result of the wood I was cutting (Ipe) or some small piece of metal on my crosscut sled or table (I'd been doing some metal work and had bits and pieces...

Grizzly BS with motor brake?

I'm looking at getting a bandsaw. Based on numerous reviews and my own comparisons, I think that I'll be getting either a 17" or a 19" Grizzly (bigger is better, right?). Does anybody here have one of Grizzly's BS with a motor brake rather than a foot brake? Is it worth the extra $155 to...

Need use of a metal shear and brake.

I have a piece of 22ga 24"x 24" sheet steel I need to cut to 21-1/2" x 15". I then need to notch the corners and bend a 1/4" edge on all 4 sides. Does anyone in the Raleigh area have the time and the tool to help me out. It will be a couple weeks before I am back in town. TIA

Delta 10" Miter Saw, Electic Brake Woes
