The venerable old English St George chess style turned in American woods: mountain laurel (Kalmia latifolia) and black walnut (Juglans nigra). Knight features "cut a'slape" design as an alternative to the more familiar carved knight. Commercial wine bottle stoppers & stand. King = 4.5" plus stopper. Original design and execution by Alan Dewey.
