Wife suggested removing the toilet tank before painting the powder room lower wall today. I do the cutting in and she rolls. Sans tank made the job easier for both of us.

Reminded me of my maxim back when I worked on autos a lot more: “The speed of repair is directly proportional to the amount of disassembly”. This was especially true for radiators; two hoses, four bolts, and maybe two tranny cooler oil lines and the radiator was out of the way and safe from being damaged by an errant wrench. For example, changing a water pump is really simple without a radiator in the way.

Very true ......... nowadays car motors are so jammed in there you need a PHD to figure out how to get to the water pump......... progress they say

Got a painting pad to do that. Quicker for me than pulling the tank. YMMV!

Well to further deviate from the POP-Pop's original idea... but hanging onto the deviation - do you know where the starter is in 2001-2006 Toyota Tundra?
